First bare impact crusher

The Striker name was born and the first bare impactor was designed and built in Perth, Western Australia. These where sold into a quarry in South Australia still operating today. The Striker impact crusher was designed to work as a primary, secondary or tertiary crusher and also fits perfectly onto the Striker track chassis.

Striker track machines born

Striker track machines are born, the first model was the HDT1110, not sure about the funky colour scheme. Over the years Striker has maintained the design principles of the very first track machine and uses common components through the complete range of machines.

First year of production

With an initial build schedule and plan to sell 5 machines, Striker exceed all expectations and built and delivered 13 HDT1110 machines in the first year of production, along with the new colour scheme, much nicer.

Customised Plant

Customised plants was a big part of Striker’s early years; in 2001 we built this 1000TPH Gabion screen. These types of plants are now produced through MAX Plant.

Wheel mounted mobile crushers

Wheel mounted mobile crushers where still popular in Australia in the early 2000’s and Striker designed and built jaws, cones, screens and impact crusher trailers for customers all over the country.

2002

April

750TPH gold heap leach plant

2002 saw us design, manufacture, install and commission a 750TPH gold heap leach plant in Kambalda Western Australia. These types of plants are now produced through MAX Plant.

Large fixed plant

Designing fixed plant was a big part of the early days at Striker/QMS. With plants designed for many of Australia’s mining and contracting companies. This plant for Penrice Quarries in South Australia produced aggregates and material for the lime plant. These types of plants are now produced through MAX Plant.

2003

October

The Children

JR4230 track jaw crusher, the first jaw on tracks by Striker. Not knowing what to call this beast it was named after Craig’s children, Jordan and Reece giving it the “JR” prefix. JR4230 is now known as the JM1180, after we developed the metric numbering system on our machines.

First Striker track screen

Now was time to get serious and develop a screen range, so in 2003 we designed and built the first Striker track screen, the massive SC207 with a 20ft x 7ft double deck screen. These screens are still massive sellers for Striker with machines operating in mines and quarries across Australia, Asia and China.

Track cone range launched

We launch our mobile cone range with the first machine being a CR200 fitted with a 200HP cone. This machine is still in Striker’s rental fleet and has done over 43,000 hours of rental work through Australia and SE Asia.

East coast Expansion

Expansion was happening and Striker ventured onto the East coast of Australia setting up offices in Brisbane with sales reps in each state of Australia. This HQR1112 was supplied into central NSW and was the launch of the Striker HQR1112, our most popular machine to

Even smaller machines

Customers where asking for even smaller machines. In 2005 we designed and built the first HDT807 mobile impact crusher. In later years this machine got a crusher upgrade and is now known as the HQ907 and can be fitted with an after screen turning it into the ultimate contractors machine.

Home to the first Striker HDT1312R

BHP Roxby Downs in South Australia was the home to the first Striker HDT1312R. This machine was one of four Striker HQ1312 Impact Crusher working in the quarry on site producing aggregate to use in the CAF plant for back filling the underground mine.

500TPH Iron ore lump and fines plant


MAX Plant arrives, Striker release the first of its MAX Plant range with a 500TPH Iron ore lump and fines plant for MACA Limited in Western Australia.

Papua New Guinea (PNG)

Our first machine into Papua New Guinea (PNG) was this Striker JQ1170 mobile jaw crusher. Sold into a gold mine in the central highlands it was definitely an experience for our service engineers when they commissioned this machine.

Air freight to Mongolia

Striker air freight two SC252 double deck screen plants into Mongolia for our customer in the South Gobi Desert screening coal.

Mine in Mid West Australia

Sino Steel opened a mine in Mid West Australia and Striker installed the 600TPH fines only Iron Ore plant, this plant went on to be moved several times over the coming years showing the true flexibility of the MAX Plant range.

Iron Ore plants delivered to HWE

The first of 6 Iron Ore plants delivered to contractors HWE in 2011, these plants worked on BHP mines in central Western Australia.

China here we come!

We sold our first full Mobile crushing and screening plant into China, about 400km south of Shanghai. The plant was used for road construction and high speed rail projects

2012

January

Fixed plant in central Australia

Going back to the beginning and building fixed plant was never an issue for the team at Striker. This plant was designed, built, installed and commissioned in central Australia, producing 1000TPH of Iron ore fines. These types of plants are now produced through MAX Plant.

MAX Plant was installed onto new sites

Iron ore was still booming in Australia in 2013. And so where the Striker MAX Plants with several being installed onto new sites across Western Australia.

Track was installed in Ghana Africa

Venturing into Africa in 2013 we found ourselves in Ghana with the installation of a Striker jaw crusher, screen and cone crusher mobile plant for a gold mine.

First track mounted Agglomeration drum

MAX Plant was in full swing and in 2015 Striker produced another first with a track mounted Agglomeration drum and feed unit that was integrated into the Copper Heap leach crushing, screening and stacking circuit we supplied into Indonesia. These types of plants are now produced through MAX Plant.

Iron knob in South Australia

A year full of one off’s with this 1300TPH fully portable MAX Plant being installed at Iron Knob in South Australia. Iron Knob was the birth place of Iron Ore in Australia and after more than 100 years of operation by former owner BHP it was shut down, Striker was proud to be a part of history and restarting this historic mine.

Stop the illegal ivory in Malaysia

Helping to stop the illegal ivory trade in 2016 Striker used a HQR1112 to destroy $25 million worth of Ivory seized in Malaysia

Striker track range and screens

Completing the Striker mobile range of screens in 2017 was a priority for Striker. The SQ1862 track screen was the perfect machine to work with the 200-300TPH aggregate and mining plants and comes in both diesel and electric (ETRAC) versions.
