Stemming Production Circuit Delivered for WA Mine Site

Striker recently supplied a complete mobile crushing and screening circuit for a Western Australian mine site, purpose-built to produce high-quality stemming material for drill and blast operations.

The circuit includes a Striker jaw crusher, cone crusher, scalping screen, and conveyor system, producing a consistent stemming product for ongoing drill and blast activities. By allowing mines to produce stemming material on site, the plant provides greater control over material quality, availability, and blast support requirements.

Stemming material plays an important role in blast performance. Consistent particle sizing helps maintain reliable stemming lengths and confinement within the blast hole, which can contribute to more predictable blasting outcomes and reduce reliance on imported materials or stockpiles from other operations.

Designed for the demanding conditions of mine site operations, the plant delivers the throughput, reliability, and product consistency required to support ongoing mining activities.

From primary crushing through to screening, the Striker circuit provides a practical solution for mines looking to produce their own stemming material on site while maintaining control over quality and supply.

It was great to reflect on the history of the industry, the projects that brought us together, and the partnerships that continue to shape the next generation of equipment. Thanks to the Sand Association members who took the time to visit and share their stories.
